So. Socks.
My almost 18-year-old brother has requested a pair of socks. He’s got this sock collection (I’m not kidding) and loves tall socks. I’m going to make him some right after I finish Mom’s Cozy, and I’m going to be good and continue to use up stash instead of buying new. That means he gets socks in Sock it to Me! Harlequin yarn in Blue Jeans.
Now I just need a sock pattern. Any recommendations? I don’t really want to go buy more double points, and I’m taking it with me so I can start it on my trip home. I have sizes 3, 4, and 5 dpns with me already.
Making plans
I need to start keeping track of projects I want to work on once I get through the plans I already have. So after I finish Billy’s sweater and a Fisher sweater, I’ll get started on the list:
- Clapotis … whenever the yarn gets here. I’m a little aggravated because the yarn delivery time was not eight to ten weeks when I ordered from the supplier. A discount isn’t worth that much of a wait.
- Samantha — one or two of them, at least. I know a few little girls who will be born this year who probably just need to have that.
- Knitted bunny .., yes, again with the baby.
At some point I’ll knit something else for myself, but I have such an aversion to seaming that I don’t really want to get into something big. I do love the Audrey sweater (too lazy to look for the link) that I’ve seen around the web, but the cost of yarn for that (or the alternative of searching out a different yarn) is exhausting to the brain.
