On hold again.
Both of my projects are on hold until I can make another trip to Hobby Lobby. I need more yarn for the Darci blanket and I need stitch holders for the pink sweater.
Aren’t they cute?

The sweater is right-side up in this picture, obviously. The pattern said to cast on loosely for the neck, but I’m not thinking they meant quite SO loose. Hmmm.
Hip Baby Blanket
The third blanket I made has deviated from the average baby blanket. Of course my baby is anything but average!! :)

Another update on the pink sweater:

It’s too soft and cute. I’m interesting in how the raglan seaming is a different type from what Dell is using … so many different options!
Little Pink Sweater
Finally … an update! I wanted to try something new in the middle of all the baby blanket knitting. I found this pattern for a seamless baby sweater and thought it’d be good for the Bernat Cotton Tots yarn I bought and didn’t use as much of with one of my blankets.

It starts out very, very small. but increases with almost every row. It’s similar to the sweater that Dell is making right now but more casual. It also knits up pretty fast; I need to take updated pictures tonight.
Wee Knits
I belong to a very large, very high volume mailing list about knitting. Half the time I end up deleting all of the messages because they just don’t apply to the type of knitting I do (or it’s nothing but a flame war disguised by wool and circular needles). Most of the knitting things I do are pretty basic or are centered around the baby-related knitting I do: hats, blankets, sweaters, etc.
So I set up a new knitting discussion group/mailing list at Yahoo! Groups: Wee Knits. This is the description:
An informal discussion list for talking about knitting for babies, toddlers, and children. These small pieces have tips and tricks all their own, so let’s share what we know and what we wonder about. The list is mostly on-topic with occasional chatter. Share your tips and hints, free patterns, and sources for patterns to purchase.
Come join if you’re interested!
