Twin Rib Scarf

Okay, so now that I’ve finally got thumbnails working again on my Moveable Type install, here’s a knitting update!

I’ve started working on a scarf to be a Christmas present for someone. I was going to use Esther Bozak’s syncopated brioche stitch but changed my mind after frogging it at least three times. Now I’m using the twin rib pattern from Fuzzy Galore, and I love it.

Also, if I do say so myself, this scarf is an example of how even “craft store” yarn can look pretty. Oh, and pardon the music … I was listening through Messiah while I was knitting. :-)

I agree - I think the yarn and pattern definitely appear to complement each other!

hi! I was just browsing and came across your site. I’m making the same scarf and wanted to ask you what size needles those are. I’m using a 10 and I’m not crazy about the result. Thanks in advance!

    Hi!

I’m pretty sure those are size 11 needles. I tend to knit a pretty tight gauge, though. The bigger picture
(http://crafty.treacle.net/archives/mock_rib_scarf.jpg) is almost life-size, if that gives you an idea of scale.

I hope it turns out well for you!
