Zoo Pages
With my mom in town, I had a chance to get started on my Zoo Album. Here are some of the pages.
I did get a little loose with the whole definition of a “zoo.” I think this album may ned up housing visits to zoos, petting zoos, gardens, and other animal-oriented events. Not sure.
Chalking Class
I took a Chalking class at Scrappy’s. Here are some things I made.
Gardening Tag
I did go outside the box here and made a space for some vellum journaling.
Flower Card
Again, I chalked the purple and green pages, which was not part of the “kit”
Sand and Water Paper
Made this on white paper using chalking.
All Day Cropping

Found out about this all day event last night during my chalking class. Sounds a little pricey, but could be fun. . .
Making More Stuff
I have been busy…
Made another new purse. This time I crocheted the purse, and I made the base in about 2 hours. I think I like this way a LOT better!

I also took a card creating class this weekend at Scrappy’s. The lady who taught the class just had a card published in the latest issue of Card Creations from Crafts Magazine. She is also going to be one of ten people who will be working for a new card magazine, Simply Sentiments. Anyway, my point was that she was pretty cool.
Here are a couple sets of cards that I made this weekend:
I Love Lucy
Elegant Christmas Cards
I will be selling these at the store (Bountiful) back in Johnstown, NY, as well as my online store, Delta Creations.

Alex’s New Sweater
While I was in Atlanta I knit a new sweater for our dog Alex. He’s a strange little beast and loves wearing sweaters. I don’t get it, but I’m happy to make them for him.
It wasn’t my best knitting … I used a new pattern that’s from Paton’s and I’m not sure it was the best one to use. I preferred the one in the “I Can’t Believe I’m Knitting!” book, but this pattern turned out all right. The yarn is Lion Brand Wool-Ease in Cranberry, and I’ve already talked about how much I hate doing any sort of knitting with any type of wool blend.
However, that was not the real challenge … Nieuwy and Stanley, the family cats, proved to be even more helpful than Clive et al. I tucked the knitting under couch cushions, put it in bags, etc., trying to keep it away from them. Well, Mom and I came back one afternoon to find this:
We got them back, though …

Baby Blanket Done
I finished a blanket to sell at the store. I crocheted this one, pretty easy pattern.
I think this photo will show you the “true” color… It’s the Lionbrand Homespun Inca… LOVE IT!
Scrapbooking with Dell
We have not posted a lot of our scrapbooking lately, so I thought I would show some of the stuff I did at scrap club on Monday night.
This week, we learned about working with metals (Thanks to Jeff… he noticed I accidentally wrote mentals!!!) Here I used aluminum and a die cut machine to ake this flamingo. The page really needed something, and this just did it!
This is just another Snooplahoma page from the OKC Zoo. Found something similar to this layout in Creating Keepsakes magazine:
What I liked is that it was really simple but still had the look of something that took me a lot of work and time.
Erin’s Gonna Kill Me
I bought a blow torch.
For scrapbooking.
And it’s really cool.

More Blankeys
I have made a couple more blankets to sell, made out of fleece with fleece binding. Here are 2 of them:
Fleece Blankets
I have also decided to make fleece blankets for the store back in NY. My first attempt, however, sucked! I had rounded the corners, so adding the fleece binding here was NOT easy! Therefore, this has become a new blanket for Kasey.
It’s almost as if she knows she should pose for me…
