Yarn Whore

I got a little “excited” at the Woolie Ewe today. I got 2 new skeins of yarn to make another purse and then some fun fur to edge a scarf, and then the lady tells me that everything in the back is 50% off. So then who decides to go nuts and buy more?

My new yarn

Here is a close-up, even though this still does not show the texture as awesome as it really is!

The Blanket Kid

Ok so i have finished the end border on the blanket and have gotten 4 rows into the main body. I am hoping that after a few more rows it will look like something.

First Item for the Store

I finished the first item I am planning to sell in the craft shop back up in NY… a baby bib. This only took me a few hours to do, and the booties are next. Thought I would take a break from the afghan, and the purse I am working on is waiting on handles to come in the mail. Nice diversion…

Baby Bib

Scratch that one, start this one.

Okay, so this blanket started pissing me off royally. That’s not exactly the attitude I want going into a baby’s blanket so I decided to frog the whole thing and start over. I’d made so many mistakes, switched knitting styles without realizing it, and knit two complete rows incorrectly, throwing off the diagonal pattern. Add in a new pattern that I wanted to try and you get lots of good rationalization for a new project.

Brother’s Blanket

Ok, so my little brother had to go and get his wife pregnant! So now i am making them a blanket. Since they will not find out if it is a boy or a girl I am using a nice sunny yellow.
