Art Time with Al

We are redecorating our living room with a Parisian theme and in search of some art for the walls that is french without being food/alcohol related . . . a difficult task! So, during Lili’s nap, I dug out my paper, brushes, and Rose Art watercolors and voila!

Lots of Needles Suck

I tried to knit a sock.

Quick knit!

I think I’ve found a new favorite set of patterns. This blanket knits up SO fast. Check out the last picture of this blanket amd then look at this:

That was all done yesterday — in the afternoon for an hour or so and then three or so hours last night. This will be done in no time, and Emily might have this before the baby’s born. That’ll be a first for me!

My Yarn Rocks

I have decided to take a purse break today, so I started a new scarf with this awesome Noro yarn. Check it out! It is really not as bright as this picture shows it to be (that darn flash!)

Knitting Assistance

Karen is over at my apartment and we’re having a joint Baby Afghan Day … only I took cold medicine and now I’m sleepy and crabby. Karen’s working away on the afghan for her brother, though, and Clive is watching over her work. He’s appointed himself QA Inspector and is making sure that no more stitches are dropped. Such a helpful kitty.

ALL DONE!!! YAY!!!

I made another purse with Lionbrand’s Fun Fur and Microspun yarns. I customer ordered the handles… They are just too darn awesome!!!

My Little Helper

Well, it looks like I won’t be doing much with making the fleece blanket this evening…

Kasey's comfy!

This One Glitters!

I am working on another purse with fur… This time, it glitters and sparkles!
(I would suggest clicking on each picture to get the best effect.)

Beginnings of a purse

The fur yarn I am using is by Stars by Adriafil. It is SOOO fun… and SOOO soft!

Here is a close-up, which still does not do it justice:

Yesterday’s progress

As promised, here’s the progress I made yesterday, with the added bonus of a picture of my knitting guardian angel.

Clive is such a good helper.

More on the two-strand blanket

I’m sitting here on a dial-up connection waiting for files to upload … and knitting. Heaven help me.

Anyway, here’s a picture of the latest baby blanket as of around 5:00 p.m. this evening. (Look, Dell! Another use for the Longaberger Cake Basket … blanket modeling!) I’ve done more work on it tonight so there might be another picture in the morning.

I LOVE this blanket! It’s incredibly soft and lush. The slight color variation between the pale yellow (okay, “Ivory” according to the label) and the white gives it a subtle difference. Depth, blahblahblah.

My file’s done! I can go to bed!
