New Hobby
So, Al has flipped out completely and embrassed her inner Martha. The pre-criminal Martha, of course!
Either Martha or that creepy chick on PBS who teaches people how to quilt.
Anyway, here are my 6 dresses I made.
Pattern 1 was the Simplicity It’s So Easy 7056
I made the first one out of this dog pattern that was on clearance for $2 a yard. It was a pain to try and get the dog centered, but I managed.
The second was made out of upholstry fabric we purchased when I was pregnant and we were sewing Lili’s layette. I didn’t match the other stuff we had, so it was in the craft wardrobe in the den. It isn’t as rough as you’d think, but is pretty heavy, so this is a winter dress for wearing over a turtle neck and tights.
So, after I made these, I tried them on the little model and they were too freaking long!! So, now these are both winter dresses. Grrr!
Next pattern is Simplicity It’s So Easy 7141. With this pattern, I wanted to make three coordinating dresses for Lili and her two cousins for when we go to California next week. Again, this was the discount fabric at good old Wallyworld, but I like how they all go together without strictly matching.
And last but not least is my own design with no pattern. This has cross straps in the back but it looked wierd on the hanger.
We also made a quilt, but I don’t have it with me at work, so I will have to post it another time. In addition, I bought these patterns on ebay, so I am now completely insane!!
