When Nerds Cross Stitch

Well I gave my cousin the blanket and everyone seemed happy!

Now I just have to finish the other one I am doing for the couple who helped me with the translation. For all those who care.. here is the process for the pattern making.

Ok here is what i did.

  1. Since i wanted to keep it a secret from the korean side of the family i went to BabelFish and typed in the word and got the translation. (I was lucky enought to have a korean speaking friend check it over to make sure it wasn’t profane or something.)
  2. Then copy the translation into word and enlarge it
  3. Save the character as a .gif file.
  4. THEN I downloaded a free trial of Photo-X Pro (which i wound up buying b/c i liked it!) and imported the .gif file.
  5. It converted the image into a cross stitch pattern.
  6. Print it out and get started!

Here is the pattern for love.

I would love the patterns for Faith, Hope & Love and think your website is adorable. My son is dating a Korean girl and know she would love something like this. Thanks, Meg Dansmom2003@aol.com

Hi there. Would you be willing to send me the pattern for “love”? I’m thinking of using it as part of a wedding gift. Thank you so much! I love your site…very inspirational. -Tera
