Alphabet Book
I took Erin and Delle’s advice(s– do you pluralize advice?) and went to MJDesign’s GOOB sale (take heed, people who still work for nameless Swedish company! I am creating a silly acronym!!)
One of my purchase was Toddler Scrapbooks (which was on sale for 40% off the 19.99 cover price):
Anywho . . .
They had a section on crazy specialty books, like a book about colors or seasons or something like that:
So, I decided to create an Alphabet book for Gillian. This project took me about 10 hours to complete from beginning to end, but it is finsihed (minus a page for Dog, Vacation, Zebra, and Zoo).
The pages I created are:

Hints
There were many things I liked about this project. I liked that I used up a bunch of scraps and bits and pieces that were lying around doing nothing. I also like that I used photos that I didn’t have anything to do with because they wouldn’t fit on the album page.
For example, when we saw the pelican on the pier in California, we took a cajillion pictures of it because we wanted to MAKE SURE that the pcitures came out. What I wound up with were a whole bunch of pictures, good pictures, but enough to fill a whole damned album. So I took the ones for my Seals & Pelicans page and tossed the rest in the envelope. Now, I was able to use the left overs for this theme album, so I feel really good about it!!
I also set up and assembly line, so I cut out the 4X6 backdrop sheets, cropped the photos, and then sat down to make the pages. This was the first time I did those things independently. I think it made it go by somewhat more quickly.
And I am still loving the top-loading pages!! I was able to move stuff around very easily when I came up with new words (like Xmas–damn! I am GOOD)!
I guess these aren’t hints, but as the posting time and spelling will attest, it is late, I am tired and I am being called to bed. Nighty nighty!!
