Baby blanket update!
We got iced in for two days in Dallas and I spent the time being all domestic and stuff. Laundry, peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies, homemade French bread, and homemade soup. And, of course, knitting the blanket for the baby girl to be born any day now …
A detail shot is in the extended entry …

Alphabet Book
I took Erin and Delle’s advice(s– do you pluralize advice?) and went to MJDesign’s GOOB sale (take heed, people who still work for nameless Swedish company! I am creating a silly acronym!!)
One of my purchase was Toddler Scrapbooks (which was on sale for 40% off the 19.99 cover price):
Anywho . . .

Faith, Hope, blahblah and Love
I have been SLAVING over a blanket for my cousin.
See what you think…see more.
Gotta love a sale.
Yep, Adelle and I are nerds. We’re both taking pictures of the stuff we got at the MJDesigns going out of business sale. They had almost NO needles or knit/crochet books but if you need paper or stickers for scrapbooks get yourself over there. It’s all 20% off right now.
Yay MJ Design!
Erin and I went shopping at MJ Design today, since it is going out of business… 40% off the books and 20% off the yarn needle I got. How exciting! (Yes, I need a life…) This is the blanket I want to make out of this book…
And the next one …
Of course, I can’t let my hands stay idle for long. Something about a devil’s playground and all that, I guess. So yesterday afternoon while I sat in bed all day feeling like crap I started the next baby blanket. Seems to be a theme with me.
It’s finished!
Looks like we’ve all been busy this weekend. I (and Clive) present the finished green baby blanket!
My Latest Project

I finally took photos this weekend of the afghan I am working on…
And here is the cool container I got this weekend to go along. This way, when I try to get more yarn, it comes right out and the whole damn thing does not fly across the room! It was $19.99 at Michael’s (make sure you use your 40% off coupon!)

And So It Goes
I was so motivated by posting my pages from yesterday, that I started Lili’s second book.
Now, I need to buy a book to put this into. But, notice I have converted to the top loading. Had I not, I wouldn’t have been able to make my page. Ah! Life is GOOD!
California . . . the “Home” Stretch
Whew, her 1st year book is finally done (minus the Thanksgiving photos that got misplaced at the developers and the Bjorn one I want to copy from Erin).
Here is a page from the “I-don’t-have-any-more-strap-pages–here-is-set-of-top-loading-strap-pages-I-bought-on-accident”–desperation-to-finish-this-book camp of pages. After working with the top-loading, though, I think I am going to defect . . .I like being able to make the page outside of the book. It makes it a lot easier to work!
